Ana Faria Lopes
Originally from Coimbra (Portugal), I completed both my Bachelors and Masters degree in Economics at Nova School of Business and Economics. Upon completion, I moved to Stavanger, Norway, to pursue a PhD in Economics at the University of Stavanger. I am currently a Postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Ocean and Society in Christian-Albrecht University of Kiel, Germany.
I have lived in Brussels (Belgium), where I was an intern at both the Council of the EU and the Institute for European Environmental Policy. I also worked as a Research Assistant at the NOVA Environmental Knowledge Center in Lisbon (Portugal). I am affiliated with the UiS EREE and the Menon Center for Environmental and Resource Economics.
My research focuses on analyzing choices where environmental goods or services are concerned. To this end, I use a variety of econometric methods, in particular limited dependent variable models (discrete choice models and count data models).
